What Elry is
Elry is a managed automation firm. We find an expensive process in an Australian mid-market business, automate it, and operate it for a fixed monthly fee derived from mutually agreed value. We run Elry on the same automation patterns we build — fixed, tested software doing the predictable work, AI only where judgment is needed, and people controlling commitments and exceptions. The discipline is simple: measure before claiming, define acceptance before anything is built, price hard value honestly, keep exit always possible, and say no when automation doesn’t pay.
The people behind Elry have spent more than 20 years engineering mission-critical software — systems where failure is expensive and visible. In 2016 we built a major Australian university’s current identity infrastructure and have supported it continuously ever since, at 780,000+ account scale, and platforms we built run in production at some of Australia’s largest mining operations. Infrastructure that can’t fail teaches a habit that carries into everything we build: say what’s proven, name what’s still being built, and put the evidence in the same breath as the claim.
Continuous Indigenous beneficial ownership since 2021, consolidated to 100% in April 2026, and Supply Nation Certified — stated as fact, not as a pitch.
Elry’s identity lifecycle management practice for universities lives at elry.au.

The team
Small and senior, by design — the people you deal with are the people on the tools.

Terry has spent more than 20 years engineering mission-critical software for Australian universities and enterprises — from federated identity at university scale to productised identity-grade SaaS for the resources sector. He owns Elry outright and leads its strategy, including the managed automation line. Assessments are conducted by Terry — the same person who scopes the build is accountable for the recommendation, including "don't automate this."

Iman leads Elry's engagement at a major Australian university — the day-to-day delivery of identity lifecycle infrastructure at 780,000+ account scale. Deep in federation, directory services, and the operational reality of keeping access correct through enrolment-cycle churn.

Gavin has spent more than 20 years in service and user-experience design across government and enterprise — education, finance, resources, legal, and heavy industry. At Elry he leads growth, applying the same user-centred discipline to how businesses find us, understand the offer, and decide whether it fits.
