Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 October 2026

This policy explains how Elry handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

It covers two kinds of information: what this website collects from visitors and enquiries, and the business-contact records we keep about clients and prospects. Data we process for clients while running their automations is a different thing. It is governed by each client’s contract and documented, service by service, in the data-flow map in their proposal — not by this page.

What we collect

When you browse the site. Pages viewed, the page you came from, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and clicks on things like the booking link. We use this to understand which pages and campaigns are useful. We don’t use it to build advertising profiles, and we don’t run advertising cookies.

When you send us the Describe-the-process form. Your answers about the process, your name, work email, and — if you give them — phone number and company. The form asks you not to include confidential records or other people’s personal information; a high-level description is enough.

When you contact or book with us. What you send by email or phone, and the details you give when booking a conversation.

As a client or prospect. Business-contact details and our correspondence with you, kept in our CRM.

We don’t collect payment card details through this website.

How we use it

To reply to you, assess whether we can help, prepare and deliver proposals and services, keep records our business and the law require, and improve the website. If you’re a client or prospect we may email you about our services; every such email lets you opt out.

Automated processing of enquiries

An enquiry from this website is created as a lead in our CRM automatically, and moving a lead between pipeline stages automatically sets up the matching project records. These are fixed, rules-based steps.

We also use an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude) to read the text of enquiries, so we can summarise them and prepare for the first conversation. Its output is read by a person before anything is sent to you.

No computer program makes a decision about you that significantly affects you: whether we take on any piece of work is decided by a person.

Who processes it, and where

We use the following services. Each one only receives what it needs.

Where information goes overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Beyond these services, we disclose personal information only to our own staff and contractors, insurers and professional advisers as needed, or where the law requires it. We don’t sell personal information.

Cookies

The site uses cookies (and similar browser storage) for analytics, so that PostHog can tell one visit from a return visit and keep the campaign you first arrived from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works without them.

Keeping it secure, and for how long

Access is limited to the people who need it, and services are protected by individual accounts. Enquiries that don’t go any further are deleted after 3 months. Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and tax and business records rules require, then deleted or de-identified.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing [email protected]. We’ll respond within 30 days. There’s no charge.

If you have a privacy complaint, email the same address. We’ll acknowledge it, look into it, and give you a written answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

When we change how we handle personal information, we update this page and the date at the top.
